Julie Magnuson, CEO
As CEO of HumanIT Resources, Julie Magnuson is responsible for strategic HR and Talent Consulting, business development, and leading the company's strategy and vision. Magnuson founded HumanIT Resources in 2009, and quickly grew the organization to be one of the largest and most respected HR and Recruiting consulting firms in San Diego.
Julie began her career in HR in 1995 as a recruiter. By 2001, Magnuson was Director of HR and Staffing for a 2500 employee company. Magnuson was drawn to consulting and began an individual HR Consulting practice in 2001. Magnuson also worked with 2 prestigous HR and Talent Consulting firms in San Diego for 8 years. Over the years, she has worked with over 100 companies as a consultant, either directly or via other consulting firms. Magnuson has extensive experience working with small to mid size companies and helping the company leadership team leverage their HR resources to fulfill the company strategy. Magnuson has been a leader in the San Diego HR Community for many years, and is the Founder and President of the San Diego HR Roundtable (SDHR), one of San Diego’s largest and best known HR Networking Communities. Mike Chick, COO
Mike joined HITR in July of 2010. As COO of HumanIT Resources, Mike Chick is responsible for the the company's overall operations, including overseeing and supporting our consultants, managing client relationships, and being the Chief HR Officer for our own organization as well as all of our clients.
Michal Chick brings over 20 years of consulting, executive management, technology strategy, and investment banking to HITR. As the executive in charge of operations and client management Chick’s background gives him tremendous insight into creating the HR, Talent and Technology consulting firm of the future. Prior to HITR, Chick was the President of Cornerstone Initiatives, a boutique human resources and process improvement consulting firm. In a broad and diverse career Chick has also been the Chief Operating Officer in an investment bank and a venture-backed internet software startup, a Vice President of Human Resources and Information Technology in a public semiconductor component company, and an officer in the United States Air Force. Michal holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from Stanford University.
Erick Magnuson, CTO
Erick Magnuson is co-founder and CTO of HumanIT Resources, and is responsible for the company’s internal technology infrastructure as well as managing the Technical Project Management work within our clients. By working closely with the right partners, Erick is leading the charge to offer an innovative technology approach to help make HR and Talent Acquisition operate more efficiently and effectively.
Erick started his IT career in 1997 managing network and systems administration in various high tech start ups. Prior to joining HITR, he was an IT Manager at UCSD for 8 years. Magnuson has also been the VP of Technology for San Diego HR Roundtable since 1998, and continues to bring award winning leading edge technology to this 500-member HR Association using the latest social media integration. Erick brings a wide variety of technical and operational skills to HITR, including project management, system integration and implementation, network security, cloud computing, client system automation, process development, and web programming.
